the corruption of this world might shake your resolve
or one day you may have a dream
that feels like waking up from a dream
and being who you are
instead of a poet
you may fancy
a senator or a general
and who am I to tell you no
the bridegroom shall be taken from thee

throwing to the winds his whole beggarly heart
you know, I've been told to pursue
freedom
but this whole idea of
social freedom
is bollocks
the idea that some money
can turn an unconscious and undeveloped person
into a fully awake being
is misleading at best
there is neither hell nor purgatory
outside the mind
and if your mind is gone
if you are pure soul
pure insanity
then you are in heaven
but if once you reach heaven
your sacrifice your soul
just to fit in
then you fall back to hell again
