our circumstances are those
of a melancholic long distance friendship
I used to cherish the idea
that when I found my loved one
I would make it a habit
of being always with her
but of course
that is a fantasy
people have their own lives
they need to work
being together all the time
would even suppress the originality
of our consciousness
we all have experienced that
seen or been that couple
that spends so much time together
they pick up habits from each other
and start to become undistinguishable
one single entity
in a sense that is what I crave
for if I become one with someone
who had all the experiences
I wished to have had but hadn't
it will be almost as good
as having had them
besides since there is
the same wild animal
yearning to be free
inside the both of us
we will not be surprised
when our eagle soars
and we will only make quarrel
when we aren't soaring high enough
