It's shabbat so let's talk about
Family and stuff
You know, my mom been pushing me
To finish my teaching internship
She wants me to be a teacher I guess
My brother explained to me
The business model of Monsanto
And my sister works way too much
That's about it
Well
I guess we need something else
To talk about now
Let me see
I've been thinking
I dont think a US vs China war
Is unavoidable
I mean
We have to prepare for it
But it might be possible
To avert the war
The real problem is
The Chinese are currently
The absolute masters of
Mass manufacturing
We can't really compete
It is cheap it is fast
The only advantage we could
Possibly have is
Faster delivery
Because what we make locally
Don't need to be shipped overseas
Personalization could be
A differential too but
Even that is becoming a slim advantage
So the Whole world
Not just the US
needs to tell china to slow down
With flooding everyone's markets
With cheap goods
The only markets where
China shouldn't slow down at all
Are tech and sustainable power generation
China should double down on that
Make things cheaper and cheaper
So everyone can have
Sustainable energy
All the other industries
China could begin to
Outsource
Specially if they are
Low complexity
China should allow other countries
To follow her own development model
Start with low complexity manufacturing
And improve the complexity steadily
To keep its edge China can
Gatekeep the very best tech
Like all other world powers do
While sharing everything else
For a fee of course
So there's thar idea I had
Of using the CEITEC to license technology
You could create an entirely new agency instead
But in either case what it would do
Is pay the developed countries
A small licensing fee
For their patents
And then subcontract them
To private firms in the country
The point is just facilitating it
The ceitec would translate the patents
Explain their use to potential customers
And viabilize implementation
So a small producer
Wouldn't need to negotiate
With the government of China
For a patent
Instead he would just rent it
In his own country
After the officials
Negotiate patents in bulk
This saves everyone time
And create revenue streams
For the patent holders
Plus making tech more
Affordable and available
To everyone all over the world
What do you think?
Is this a good idea?
Good shabbat everyone!
