why do we concern ourselves so much
with the eyes of our neighbours
shouldn't they have better things to do
than look at us all the time
the paucity of the senses
how many people, how many places
very odd and extraordinary
have been drowned
by the mediocrity of this world
a genius kid may have
an irresponsible dad
and be irrevocably broken and traumatized
it is even worse
when the mother is
a domineering mentally ill narcisist
and when you get both
that is a recipe for disaster
but we see so many couples like that nowadays
you take a bunch of these
disaster kids
and you make more and more of them
to the point society is full of them now
and what do you expect them to do
without adequate coping mechanisms
tossed into an uncaring world
projecting unreal fantasies upon
everyone they meet
torn between
a strong desire to please
which is a defense mechanism
and an even stronger uncaring attitude
another layer of defense mechanism
it is not the obvious things that make them cry
